One random evening months ago i was brainstorming for something to gender bend, out of no where Jollibee and his pals
came to my attention having remembered being given a sticker birthday give away that features some of it's characters.
(To all who doesn't know, Jollibee
is the most visible and popular fastfood here even beating McDonald's in scope of influence.)
The mascot was as the name Jollibee dictates, a bee. However i'm not that of a biggie with incorporating tans with animal/insect parts so instead of the antenna of the bee i just made it two long bangs. Also the original Jollibee mascot has bee wings, but since Tans are "personifications" i concluded that it be some winglike design on the back of the blazer.
Also the background design is derived from the real Jollibee advertisements and stuff.
My only quirks with this piece is that it was real challenging to find a font type for the Jollibee logo, thank goodness i found a font that would suffice!. I was also to use the Jollibee Logo somewhere on this piece.... but rather not mess with all that legal hoobaloos on copyright and stuff, too complicated.
This is in cel-shade coz i haven't done cel-shading for eons! And also: Pen tool = tons of
(time consuming but lotsa
for it for making cel-shading more cleaner ).
