Requested a Loooong time ago by one of my online friends..
(which has no dev-art account... ). We both like gore,
( Hehe) blood, and cute killer girls!. (i.e. Go Go Yubari)
So here i give you... Nevada, a made up Japanese
character of some sorts (?). Which has some cult following..
This folks maybe my make or break piece... or whatever, if
i am fortunate to use the computer when my father arrives
this won't be the last piece you'll see of me this month (or
maybe the same as next month). But if i'm unfortunate...
that's all vice versa.
At first this was conceptualized as a practice piece for a
coloring style. I got well.. "inspired" and proceeded with
the BG and stuff.
(Ironically, the BG scares me for some reason. When i
took a break after doing this.. i kept on checking if i
still have a head on my shadow... )
Piece was done in 5 and a half hours. Photoshop... and
all that technical Stuff..
I personally love the character design here, and even knowing the story behind Nevada-tan I would probably watch an anime or read a manga with her as a main character just for her cute design.
wow this is amazing, great work, ive always been interested in stories like hers, it was a tragedy but very interesting, i love your take on things and i was reading the comments under mine, you shouldn't have responded to them, idiots like that just need to be ignored, dont bother with what others say, this is your art and you can do it on whatever you like!
I know the story surrounding the Nevada case, but as i said.... i based this drawing on the character not the real person behind the gruesome killings.
Nevada-tan doesn't have any character design. Or are you drawn to eleven years old kids with short hair and mainly, sweatshirt with "NEVADA"? Because that, and the razor, are the only things that describe her.
IT IS still a type of design, have you heard of "Simplicity"?. Take a look at Millia Jovovich's character in The Fifth Element with all that simple white stripe things and stuff.
And excuse me, are you implying that i'm a Pedo in a way?. As someone who looks for design, i don't care if it's a kid, a teenager, a middle aged person, or a senior citizen... i look for the aesthetics.
Though if you're nudging more on her being based on a homicidal kid then i guess that's something i have to deal with myself, i have my own tolerance over these kinds of things and i tell you i'm not that weak willed to be forced or imitate to adapt something from the character i took a liking. I have a clear stand with what's fiction and how it will affect me as a peson.
The name of this deviation is "cute killer girl". Cute and killer?
Do you find killer children cute?
Imagine having a child; a girl. And her getting killed by her schoolmate. The schoolmate would be very cute, and just goodlooking, admirable.
How would you feel if someone drew a character based on the killer of your child?
Well, doesn't it describe the picture in the most no-deep meaning, shallowest of words?. Would i title a picture of a sad old woman "Joy of Youth" or something (unless i mentioned in the description that i used it as a sarcastic take on the picture's subject)
And to be honest with you, YES, i do like killer children in a way or any children that is with/on power IN MY FICTION (therefore, i like the Nevada anime character that was made) (i.e. psychic children in fiction, Drew Barrymore in firestarter). Also, yes i like them but NOT to the point of doing nasty or Michael Jackson-y to them (brought up for the sake of a possible arguement)
Some men can like totally spaz in lesbian acts, and some females go gaga over gay pairings that's their thing, and i don't find anything bad about it as long as they stay morally correct and don't cross the limits IN REAL LIFE.
Of course i would be offended (If i will ever want to have a kid anyway.) and would be if it was a close relative.
But i really don't mix my fiction with real life you see, complications i don't tolerate much. If i ever have a real life problem and stuff, would i think of Nevada? of course not. Because i have my fiction time, and i have my real life time.

I think it would've been worst if i regarded the latter first. To each his/her own i guess.
